Fertilization Service Includes Standard & Tier 2 Packages

We break our fertilization service down into two packages: standard and tier 2. Fertilization is a critical treatment for lawn health. Standard fertilizer includes nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium to keep lawns and plants well fed. Our pros know just the right ratio to apply for best results.

Our 5-step standard fertilizer treatment includes:

  • Step 1 and 2 - Pre-emergent and fertilizer. Step 1 falls at the end of March/beginning of April. Step 2 falls in the 3rd or 4th week of May.
  • Step 3 - In July, we apply fertilizer with preventative grub control that kills larvae and new eggs.
  • Step 4 - Involves a low-impact slow-release fertilizer around Sept. 1st.
  • Step 5 - Application of slow-release winterizer between November and December. The product has more phosphorus and more potassium for energy so the grass wakes up in spring energized for the year.

Our 6-step tier 2 fertilizer treatment includes:

  • Step 1 and 2 - Pre-emergent and fertilizer. Step 1 falls at the end of March/beginning of April. Step 2 falls in the 3rd or 4th week of May.
  • Step 3 - In July, we apply fertilizer with preventative grub control that kills larvae and new eggs.
  • Step 4 - Fertilizer applied around late summer.
  • Step 5 - Slow-release fertilizer treatment around early fall.
  • Step 6 - Application of slow-release winterizer between November and December. The product has more phosphorus and more potassium for energy so the grass wakes up in spring energized for the year.

Shrub and tree fertilizer is managed using a granular product proven to work best with the soil in our region. We spread the product around the drip line of each plant for best results.

Our weed control service targets the following weeds:

We also offer landscape bed weed control as an add-on service.

We Provide Aeration, Dethatching, & Sod Service Resulting in Full, Green Lawns

A great looking lawn requires maintenance from the soil up. Without proper soil health, grass will only grow properly for a short time. There are two very important services we offer to restore soil and prepare it for healthy growth.

  • Aeration (core aeration) - Aeration is a process that requires a machine called a lawn aerator. The machine uses metal spines to poke holes into the soil. The result is reduced compaction and the creation of channels that allow nutrients to penetrate to the roots. We perform aeration between August and October.
  • Dethatching - Dethatching is the process of removing thatch from your soil. Thatch is a tangled mess of crisscrossing roots beneath the topsoil that make it very difficult for grass to establish itself. Dethatching is usually performed with a power rake that breaks up thatch. Many clients follow this process with overseeding to enrich and regrow their lawns.
  • Sod service - We can repair brown/dead patches of sod and we can refer clients to a reliable sod installer for full sod installation service.
